39. Is a lip tie procedure painful?

Lip Tie Procedure

child enjoys snack after lip tie at pediatric dentist

Most children experience very little discomfort during a lip tie release. Our team uses gentle techniques, including numbing and, in many cases, laser tools, to make the procedure quick and as comfortable as possible.

After the Procedure:

-Mild soreness or tenderness may last a day or two.
-Soft foods and, if needed, over-the-counter pain relief typically manage any discomfort.
-Children usually recover quickly and can return to normal eating or feeding without difficulty.

Our priority is a safe, gentle, and low-stress experience—for both your child and you.
