When Should My Child Have Their First Dental Visit?

Most children should have their first dental appointment around age one, or within six months of their first tooth appearing—whichever comes first. Early visits may seem young, but they are usually short, gentle, and focused on education while helping both you and your child feel comfortable.

During this initial visit, we will:

-Check your child’s teeth, gums, and overall oral development
-Answer your questions about brushing, teething, and oral care
-Give simple guidance for building healthy habits at home
-Help your child become familiar with the dental office in a calm, positive way

Starting early helps prevent problems before they begin and lays the foundation for a lifetime of healthy smiles.
